After conducting a national search, the Bard College Department of Athletics is pleased to announce that Adam Turner has been hired as an Assistant Athletics Director and Head Men's Basketball Coach. Director of Athletics Kristen Hall states, "Coach Turner brings great enthusiasm and passion to the position. He has gained valuable experience with the Hoop Group, and has extensive knowledge in the most contemporary basketball theories. We have great confidence that Coach Turner will attract basketball scholar athletes to our institution who will build our program to enhance our successes in the near future." Turner, a 2006 graduate of Bard, was a four year starter and three year captain for the Raptors. During his career, Turner was recognized two times as a DIII News All-American, received numerous conference awards, and set new Bard marks in many statisical categories, including career points (1,785), a mark which has yet to be beaten. Upon graduation, Turner took his first step into the collegiate coaching ranks as an assistant for the Raptors during the 2006-07 season. Turner was involved in many aspects of the program both on and off the court, and was heavily involved in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes. For the past several years, Turner has been the Director of the Hoop Group Skills Camp, which is recognized as one of the nation's oldest and most respected basketball skill development camps. He was responsible for managing all aspects of the camp which involves more than 1,700 campers. Additionally, Turner directed two youth tournaments annually involving up to 100 teams, organized over 25 clinics for youths of all ages, as well as assisted in the administration of a variety of high school showcase events and AAU tournaments. Turner inherits a program that returns several talented players, including senior and team co-captain Justin White, a member of the 2008-09 All Skyline First Team.

Larkin, a recent graduate of Albright College, will be involved in all aspects of the Men's Basketball program. While at Albright College, he was a four year member of the Men's Basketball team, as well as serving as president of the institution's student athlete advisory committee. Michael has also been active in camps during the summer as he worked the Saxton Middle School Summer Sports Camps for the past two summers. Most recently, Larkin worked as a Coach/Commissioner for the Hoop Group. Larkin will be a valuable asset to the coaching staff for the 2009-10 season and looks forward to watching the team achieve the goals that they have set for this season.

Latiqua WIlliams achieved a rare quadruple-double in a game against the College of New Rochelle, a first for the Bard Women's Basketball Program and only the eighth woman in NCAA history to record this feat. Williams scored 21 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, recorded 11 steals and dished out 10 assists to complete the record setting performance.
