Coach Abalos enters his third year as Head Coach of the Raptors, joining the Bard Athletics Coaching staff after a three-year stint as the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at Dutchess Community College. Abalos brought his squad to the Division III NJCAA Championships, a first ever for DCC. Additionally, his team finished 7th in the nation in DIII NJCAA. Recognized as the Region 15 DIII NJCAA Coach of the Year, Abalos’ career record at DCC was 46-19. Abalos has participated in the New York Empire State Games as a player for 15 years, most recently as the setter for the Hudson Valley Men's Open Team. He has served as the Head Coach for the Hudson Valley Region's Scholastic Boy's in the past, and coached the Hudson Valley Open Men's Volleyball Team. He is a member of a USA Volleyball GEVA Region squad and recently competed in the USA Volleyball National Championship in Minneapolis, and will be competing next year in Phoenix. Abalos is very active with various summer camps and worked the Army Volleyball Camp this past summer. He is also CAP Certified. Coach Abalos is also the Head Coach of the Bard College Women's Volleyball Team, as well as a member of the Bard College Volleyball Camp Staff and is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

Stephanie Brink

Assistant Coach

Stephanie Brink begins her first season with Bard and comes with an impressive playing career. A graduate of The College of Saint Rose, Brink was a four year letter winner for the Golden Knights, garnering All-American, All-Conference and All-Region honors. As a junior, she was named the Northeast-10 Player of the Year and Daktronics DII Northeast Player of the Year. She received several AVCA accolades, including being named a Sports Imports/AVCA DII National Player of the Week when she was only a sophomore. Brink was the first St. Rose volleyball player ever to be named a Daktronics All-American. Brink’s coaching resume includes coaching for the Apex Volleyball Club, which she played when she was in high school. She has also served as a coach/counselor for the Bard Summer Volleyball camp since 2004. Brink is a Hudson Valley local, who resides in Port Ewen, NY. She is a graduate of Kingston High School and continued her education and a successful volleyball career at The College of Saint Rose. Coach Brink has her bachelor's degree in childhood education and is a head start teacher in New Paltz.

Kim Larie, co-captain of the women's soccer team, led the Raptors to a Skyline Conference Tournament second place finish and an ECAC Semi-Final birth in the 2009 season. Kim was also selected as the 2009 Skyline Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Year.
