Community Membership

Thank you for your interest in the Stevenson Gymnasium Community Membership Program.

Membership benefits are available at no cost to Bard College faculty, staff, currently enrolled students, and their immediate family members. Membership Plans are available to local-area residents. Visitors to the college may use the gym facilities by paying the Single-Use Fee. Restrictions may apply so please read the membership rules carefully.

Membership Benefits

All membership plans include unlimited use of the following facilities during operational hours (Note that selected facilities are reserved seasonally for departmental programming. To confirm availability contact the Stevenson Gymnasium Front Desk at 845-758-7527.):

• the main gymnasium with a basketball court, badminton court, and indoor recreational area
• six-lane, 25-yard indoor swimming pool
• men's and women's locker rooms with saunas
• aerobics studio
• fitness centers with cardiovascular and strength training equipment
• three glass-backed squash courts
• six lighted, hard-surface outdoor tennis courts
• the Lorenzo Ferrari Soccer Complex
• cross-country running trails
• instructional classes such as aerobics, yoga, and t'ai chi

12-Month Membership

Unlimited use of the Stevenson Gymnasium facilities for 12 consecutive months. A 50% deposit is required upon registration. You will be billed for the balance after 4 months.

12-Month Weekend Membership

Unlimited use of the Stevenson Gymnasium facilities from 12:00 noon on Fridays through closing on Sundays for 12 consecutive months. Weekend membership also includes any Mondays on which a national holiday falls. A 50% deposit is required upon registration. You will be billed for the balance after 4 months.

Coupon Books

Unlimited use of the Stevenson Gymnasium facilities. Each coupon is good for a one-time visit. Coupons do not expire.

Single-Use Fees

Unlimited use of the Stevenson Gymnasium facilities for one visit. Once the patron departs the facility, they must pay again if they wish to reenter at a later time that day. Fees are paid at the Reception Desk upon check-in.

Membership Rules, Restrictions, and Discounts

• Individuals under the age of 16 will not be granted use of the facilities without an adult.
• The Children rates apply to any individual under the age of 18.
• Family rates apply to all individuals living within the same household.
• 12-month or 6-month memberships require a 50% deposit upon registration.
• 3-month memberships require payment in full upon registration.
• Memberships expire 12, 6, or 3 consecutive months from registration
• An appointment must be made to register for membership. To make an appointment please call 845-758-7531.
• Coupons are good for a one-time visit and do not expire.
• Coupons admit one individual or one family per coupon.
• A 25% Alumni Discount is given on all memberships with the exception of coupon books and single-use fees.
• Membership is available at no cost to Bard College faculty, staff, currently enrolled students, and their immediate family members.
• Parents of enrolled students may obtain a guest pass from the Office of Safety and Security.
