Directions

Below are directions from common departure points to the Stevenson Gymnasium, and Bard's athletic fields.

For GPS Navigators:  The physical address of the Stevenson Gymnasium is:

32 Woods Avenue, Red Hook, NY  12571 (Dutchess County).  Even though the campus in located in the hamlet of Annandale-on-the-Hudson, we are in the township of Red Hook, which is how GPS recognizes our physical address.

Approximate distances:

• Poughkeepsie: 25 miles
• Albany: 50 miles
• New York: 90 miles
• Boston: 200 miles

From New York City, New Jersey, and points south, take the New York State Thruway to Exit 19 (Kingston), take Route 209 (changes to Route 199 at the Hudson River) over the Kingston/Rhinecliff Bridge to Route 9G. At the second light after the bridge, turn left onto Route 9G, and drive north 3.5 miles to the traffic light. Turn left onto River Road. At fork in road bear right and continue onto Annandale Road to campus. Travel for approximately 1/2 mile and see the Stevenson Gymnasium on the left. Parking is available across the street from the gym, or behind the facility via Woods Avenue.

From Albany, take the New York State Thruway to Exit 19 and proceed as from New York City above.

From southern Connecticut, follow I-84 to the Taconic State Parkway, take the Taconic north to the Red Hook/Route 199 exit, drive west on Route 199 through the village of Red Hook to Route 9G. Turn right onto Route 9G, drive north 1.6 miles to traffic light, and turn left onto River Road. At fork in road bear right and continue onto campus on Annandale Road. Travel for approximately 1/2 mile and see the Stevenson Gymnasium on the left. Parking is available across the street from the gym, or behind the facility via Woods Avenue.

From northern Connecticut, take Route 44 to Route 199 at Millerton, drive west on Route 199, and proceed as from southern Connecticut.

From Massachusetts and northern New England, take the Massachusetts Turnpike to Exit B-2 (Taconic Parkway). Take the Taconic Parkway south to the Red Hook/Route 199 exit, and proceed as from southern Connecticut.

General parking for the Stevenson Gymnasium is across Annandale Road. Parking for athletics teams is available behind the building via Woods Avenue, immediately south.
